What to expect from an LVA assessment: from booking to report

The full layered voice analysis process, step by step: how you book, how the remote interview runs, and what the 24-hour report contains.

A person scheduling an appointment in their diary.

If the technology makes sense to you, the next question is a practical one: what does it take to run an assessment, and what do you get back? Here is the whole process, start to finish. It is simpler than most people expect, because there is no equipment and no venue.

How do you book an assessment?

You tell us who you need assessed and for what, and we set it up. There is nothing to install. Assessments are prepaid, per test, with no lock-in, so you can start with a small batch and see the reports on your own people before committing to more. See pricing for what a test costs.

Are the questions tailored?

Yes. The interview runs off a scripted questionnaire built for your situation. A questionnaire for a cash-handling hire is not the same as one for a long-haul driver or a rental applicant. We tailor the questions to the role, the route or the lease, so the assessment asks about what actually matters to your decision. You can see the situations we screen for on the hiring, logistics and property use-case pages.

What happens during the interview?

A trained operator runs the interview remotely over a standard video or phone call. The subject needs a device and a quiet spot, nothing more. There are no sensors and no room to sit in, which keeps people at ease and makes the process easy to schedule across a shortlist or a whole depot. The conversation is recorded as high-quality audio for analysis. This is why layered voice analysis is non-intrusive and hard to game.

How is the voice analysed?

The audio is processed securely and the LVA engine scores every response. The scoring is examiner-independent, so it does not hinge on one person’s read, which is what keeps it consistent from one subject to the next. This is the step that turns a conversation into a structured signal. Before the report is released, our team reviews every medium and high-risk flag: confirming the subject understood the question, weighing the flag against the context of the interview and the subject’s circumstances, and adding that context to the report. The mechanism behind it is covered in how layered voice analysis works.

What is in the report, and how fast?

You receive a clear report within 24 hours. It contains three things:

  • An overall risk score, so you can triage at a glance.
  • A risk classification for each question, so you can see exactly where the signal is strongest.
  • An emotional profile, mapping the markers detected across the interview.

Any medium or high-risk flag arrives with context from our team.

How do you use the result?

You use it as an input, not a verdict. The model is screen, flag, investigate: the interview screens, the flags mark where a closer look is warranted, and you investigate with evidence, such as a follow-up conversation or a targeted check. A low overall score means the interview raised nothing that needs a closer look. A raised score, or a spike on a specific question, tells you where a closer human review is worth the time. You stay in control of the decision. The assessment makes sure you are making it with more than instinct, and it should never be the sole basis for a high-stakes outcome.

Start with a test

The easiest way to judge the value is to see the reports on people you already know. Run a small batch, read the output, and decide from there.

Book a test and we will set it up.

Frequently asked questions

How long does an LVA assessment take to come back? There is a 24 hour lead time during which the optimal script category is approved for the interview. The interview itself is 20 to 30 minutes long (depending on the amount of questions), and the report is returned within 24 hours.

Does the person being assessed need to travel or use special equipment? No. The assessment runs remotely over a video or phone call. The subject needs only a device and a quiet space.

What do I actually receive? A report with an overall risk score, a per-question risk classification, and an emotional profile mapped across the interview. Any medium or high-risk flag is delivered with context from our team.

Can I run a small test before committing? Yes. Assessments are prepaid and per test with no lock-in, so you can start with a small batch and see the reports before scaling up.
